04.04.2024

Under the leadership of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan, international cooperation, especially in the field of aviation security, is actively developing. As part of this strategy, representatives of the Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan (AAK) jointly with the Civil Aviation Administration of Mongolia conducted a series of meetings and discussions.

The main goal of the visit by the AAK expert group, led by the Deputy Director-General for Aviation Security, Darhan Yespotanov, was the joint preparation for flights to the United States of America. During the meeting, the parties actively exchanged experiences and considered several key aspects of the state regulation of civil aviation.

Experts from Kazakhstan and Mongolia analyzed certification procedures and oversight of flight safety, examined issues of maintaining airworthiness of aircraft, licensing of aviation personnel, and discussed aviation security systems. The visit also included a tour of the Chinggis Khaan International Airport, where practical aspects of aviation infrastructure were reviewed.

One of the key points of discussion was the modernization of the financing system for the regulator and maintaining the qualifications of aviation inspectors. Representatives of Mongolia also showed interest in Kazakhstan's experience in implementing digital surveillance systems and flight safety monitoring, which will more effectively account for violations and assess risks.

As a result of the visit, an agreement was reached on continuing and expanding cooperation between the Civil Aviation Administration of Mongolia and the AAK. This step opens new prospects for both countries in ensuring flight safety and further developing the aviation industry.
