The Astana Development Center is a subordinate organization of the Akimat of Astana and is responsible for attracting and supporting investors, as well as promoting the image of the capital as an investment-attractive, interesting, and comfortable city.

To contribute to Astana’s comprehensive development and strengthen its position as a leading center of business, cultural, and investment activity.
Tasks
- 1. Promoting the socio-economic development of the capital and the implementation of key areas of the state investment policy
- 2. Cooperation with central and local government bodies on issues of investment attraction and support of investment projects in various sectors of the economy
- 3. Interaction and establishment of prospective cooperation with domestic, foreign, and international organizations on investment attraction and support of investment projects
- 4. Assistance in the implementation of investment attraction measures and provision of expert support in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan
- 5. Participation in the implementation of state and regional investment support programs
- 6. Provision of information, advisory, and organizational support to potential investors on investment activities
- 7. Participation in the organization and conduct of investment and business forums, seminars, exhibitions, and other events of various levels within the scope of assigned tasks
- 8. Information and advisory support of partnership programs of the Astana business community on investment topics and strengthening the image of the capital as an investment-attractive city
- 9. Participation in media support of investment projects and promotion of the investment potential of the capital through own information resources and cooperation with mass media
Objectives
- 1. Assisting in the implementation of the state objective to attract domestic and foreign investments in the city of Astana and to support state investment incentive measures
- 2. Assisting in creating favorable conditions to improve the investment climate and investment attractiveness of the capital
- 3. Assisting in promoting the investment potential of the Astana metropolitan region in domestic and international markets
