Ilyas Zakaryanov is a citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

He obtained a Bachelor's degree in Business Management and Leadership from the University of Huddersfield (United Kingdom) and a Master's degree in International Relations from the University of Tsukuba (Japan).

He has professional experience in government and private sector.

From 2016 to 2019, he served as the Chief Manager of the Commercial Department of Food Contract Corporation JSC in Astana.

From 2021 to 2023, he worked in private sector.

From March 2023 to August 2025, he served as Advisor to the Chairman of the Management Board of Astana Development Center LLP.

In September 2025, he was appointed Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of Astana Development Center LLP.
