In 2023, the country was visited by 1,084.8 thousand foreign tourists. This is an increase of 156.8 thousand people compared to the previous year, with a growth of 17% compared to 2022, where Kazakhstan was visited by 928 thousand foreigners.

According to last year's results, the number of domestic tourists served by accommodation facilities increased by 647.5 thousand people compared to 2022, reaching 7 million 54.5 thousand people. This indicator is 1 million 767 thousand people higher than the pre-pandemic level (2019 – 5 million 286 thousand people).

«In recent years, there has been a noticeable increase in interest in Kazakhstan among tourists from all over the world. This year, our country was visited by more than 1 million foreigners. This fact confirms the attractiveness of our natural beauty, cultural heritage, and hospitality. We are also actively developing tourism infrastructure, including the construction of new hotels, development of the transport network, and expansion of tourist routes. Our goal is to make travel to Kazakhstan accessible and comfortable for every visitor, so that everyone can discover the wealth of our unique opportunities and experience unforgettable emotions» said Deputy Minister of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Erzhan Erkinbayev.
