On April 27, at 2 p.m., the International meeting of poets of Kazakhstan and Indonesia "The Country of a thousand Islands" will take place.

The event celebrates multiple anniversaries: 31 years of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Indonesia and the Republic of Kazakhstan, the 20th anniversary of the National Academic Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and the 5th anniversary of the "AVANGARD" company. It will open with performances by musicians Sabit Azimzhanov and Mira Azimzhanova.
Organizers include "AVANGARD", supported by the Embassy of Indonesia, the National Academic Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and the Department of Partnership and MICE Events at the "Astana Development Center" LLP.
The event will be hosted by Dina Oraz, the head of the Creative Association "AVANGARD".
Participants will include:
- The director of the National Academic Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Astana, Nurgaliyeva G.K.
- The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Indonesia to the Republic of Kazakhstan and concurrently to the Republic of Tajikistan, H.E. Mohamad Fadjroel Rachman.
- The Chair of the Committee on Archives, Documentation, and Book Affairs of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Ali Rustam.
- The Director of the Department of Partnership and MICE Events at the "Development Center of Astana" LLP, Kalmurzaeva D. Sh.
The event will feature readings of Indonesian poets' works and original poems by poets of "AVANGARD". Readings will be performed by H.E. Mr. Mohamad Fadjroel Rachman, Liliya Doldyrina, Mr. Andi Zulkarnain, Olga Antonova, Dina Oraz, Baқtalant Ulyқpanұly, Temirkhan Myrzakhmetov, Rassita Bagamaeva, Beket Safiyanur, Maya Murzakhmetova, and Gulmira Shopanova.
Additionally, video readings by Indonesian poets such as DENGAN PUISI AKU, DALAM DOAKU, JALAN KECIL KENAYAKAN, and Lis Murtan will be showcased, along with an Indonesian dance performance.
