Taza Kazakhstan: Citywide clean-up campaign held in the Capital

A citywide clean-up campaign was held in Astana as part of the Taza Kazakhstan environmental initiative. More than 100 employees of the Department for Investments and Entrepreneurship Development of Astana city and its subordinate organizations took part in the event.

Employees of the Department for Investments and Entrepreneurship Development of Astana city, Astana Invest, Astana Tourism, Astana Development Center, and the Socio-Entrepreneurial Corporation “Astana” joined the campaign.

During the initiative, participants cleaned the areas assigned to their organizations and planted greenery.

According to Kuandyk Kurmashev, Deputy Head of the Department for Investments and Entrepreneurship Development of Astana city, the Department’s employees actively participate in such initiatives every year. In addition, efforts are carried out throughout the year to engage small and medium-sized businesses in maintaining cleanliness across the capital.

“We not only take an active part in these initiatives every year, but also engage small and medium-sized businesses in maintaining cleanliness and order throughout the city all year round. Checklists have been developed for entrepreneurs in the capital, containing recommendations adapted to seasonal conditions and aimed at ensuring cleanliness and order throughout the year,” Kuandyk Kurmashev said.

Participants emphasized that cleanliness and order in the city begin with the personal responsibility of every individual. They called on Astana residents to help keep the environment clean and contribute collectively to the improvement of the city.
