On April 29, 2025, the first Forum of the Regions of the CIS Member States was held in Tashkent.

An official delegation from the Republic of Kazakhstan, headed by Vice Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan Zhanel Kushukova, took part in the forum. The delegation included Deputy Head of the State Institution "Department for Investment and Entrepreneurship Development" of Astana Kuanysh Saparov, representatives of LLP "Astana Development Center," akimats of Turkistan, Kyzylorda, and East Kazakhstan regions, as well as about 50 Kazakhstani companies.

The forum served as an effective platform for dialogue on interregional cooperation, investment policy, and foreign economic relations. A number of memorandums of understanding were signed during the event in the areas of investment and trade-economic cooperation.

A tangible result was the attraction of the investor LLP "SVS-ASTANA," which is implementing a project in the field of repair and assembly of special equipment. During the forum, a contract was signed for the supply of chassis from Uzbekistan for the assembly of vehicle bodies in Astana and other regions of Kazakhstan.

In addition, an agreement was reached with the company Valesco on the supply of automotive chemicals to the Kazakhstani market.

A meeting was also held with a local financial partner organization engaged in financing investment projects, during which participants exchanged experience in supporting such projects.

Furthermore, a meeting was organized with the Kazakhstani investor LLP "STALTSINK," during which issues related to the expansion of production capacities and increasing exports to Uzbekistan were discussed.

As a result of the event, the akimats signed three cooperation documents, and business connections were established between representatives of the CIS countries' business communities.
