In Istanbul, Turkey, a meeting was held between the Vice Minister of Tourism and Sports of Kazakhstan, Serik Zharasbayev, and the Head of the Directorate for the Preparation and Conduct of the 5th World Nomad Games, Nail Nurov, with the President of the World Ethnosport Confederation, Bilal Erdogan. A wide range of issues was discussed.

Vice Minister of Tourism and Sports Serik Zharasbayev spoke about the active work being carried out in the country to prepare for the World Nomad Games and the launch of the first wave of information campaigns.

Director Nail Nurov, considering the significance of the 5th World Nomad Games, discussed the need to cover the opening and closing ceremonies of the Games, as well as the progress of the competitions on leading world television channels.

In turn, Bilal Erdogan, noting the growth of bilateral partnership relations, especially emphasized that the organization of the nomad games is one of Kazakhstan's promising projects for promoting the ethnosport movement at the global level.

Furthermore, it was noted that the Kazakhstani delegation would participate in the Congress of the World Ethnosport Confederation, which will take place from February 16 to 18.

The meeting at the office of the World Ethnosport Confederation in Istanbul was also attended by the Secretary-General of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-speaking States, Bagdat Amreyev, and representatives of the General Consulate of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

About 4000 athletes from more than 100 countries are expected to participate in the 5th World Nomad Games, which will take place in Astana from September 8 to 14, 2024.

The 5th World Nomad Games will be held under the slogan "Ұлы дала дүбірі" - "Meeting in the Great Steppe".
