Direct flights between Astana and Dushanbe have been opened

Today, at the international airport of Astana, a ceremonial event took place for the arrival and departure of the first flight of Somon Air from the capital of Kazakhstan to Dushanbe, Tajikistan.
The ceremony was attended by the Chairperson of the Civil Aviation Committee of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan, S.E. Tompieva, as well as the management of the capital's airport and representatives of Somon Air. The main guests of the event expressed their joy about the new flight, which will connect the two countries and facilitate travel for many passengers.
Regular flights from Astana to Dushanbe will be operated starting April 2, once a week, and from April 19, twice a week on the modern Boeing 737/800/900. The capacity of the aircraft is 184 passengers, which will allow for maximum comfort for all travelers.
The opening of the new flight marks a significant moment for the development of air communication between Kazakhstan and Tajikistan, and represents a reliable step towards strengthening friendly relations between the two countries.
It should be noted that today 31 direct routes are available from Astana.
