On September 26, Astana Development Center LLP organized a meeting with Astana entrepreneurs representing the hotel and restaurant business, tourist associations and other structures (companies) of the tourism industry. The main topic of discussion was the construction of a nuclear power plant (NPP) in Kazakhstan.
Experts spoke at the event: engineer of the Institute of Nuclear Physics Kaliekperov Malik Yerlanovich and Head of the Environmental Protection Department of Astana Energy JSC Usina Gulnur Talgatovna. They talked about the safety of nuclear power plants, international standards and measures aimed at preventing accidents. The format of the meeting allowed the participants to ask questions and get answers from specialists.
Recall that on October 6, 2024, a referendum will be held at which citizens of Kazakhstan will be able to express their position on the construction of a nuclear power plant. The decree on holding the referendum was signed by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on September 2, 2024.
